Hi there,

I’m Mynaah! I pour my life into words, documenting how I’ve got one foot in the roots of India where my parents are from and the other foot in Singapore, where I’ve grown up. I’m a med student interested in medical health and science (duh), writing fiction, speaking against patriarchy and returning to God after losing every fight.

Why Mynaah and why that myna bird?

Well, Mynaah is a nickname my family’s been calling me since young so it wasn’t fashioned out of thin air for the internet. It’s been there for some time. Also, the myna bird is a ubiquitous bird with nothing to its name or appearance but it strongly resonates with Indian. And of course, the pitch black bird with a hint of yellow is ordinary but also deeply comforting.

I’ve been blogging since 2015 and have moved my blog here to give you a refreshing look! Email me at guardianofemoon@gmail.com if you’d like to say hello.
